1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how First Choice Bookkeeping & Financial Consultancy Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at firstchoicebookkeeping.co.uk (the “Website”). This policy complements our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we collect and process your personal data, and should be read alongside it. First Choice Bookkeeping & Financial Consultancy Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13118102. Our registered office is at Suite 11, Enterprise House, Meadowfield Avenue, Spennymoor, County Durham, England, DL16 6JF.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to help websites work correctly, improve the user experience, and give site owners information about how their site is used. Cookies are described as “first-party” when set by us, or “third-party” when set by other organisations whose services we use. By duration, they are either “session” cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. This policy also covers similar technologies that serve the same purpose as cookies. Your browser's local storage is the main example; those entries are identified separately in the tables below.

3. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies only for specific and limited purposes. Necessary technologies are required to operate the Website, keep your session secure, preserve your progress through the company formation journey, and provide live support. These are not subject to consent, and disabling them means we cannot deliver the services you have requested. Analytics and advertising/marketing technologies are off by default and are enabled only after your explicit consent. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which we use to monitor site performance, do not use cookies and do not identify you personally. The data we collect for measurement never includes your company name, email address, telephone number, session tokens, payment details, or any identity and customer due-diligence (KYC/AML) data.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

On your first visit, you can accept analytics and advertising/marketing separately, accept all, or reject all. No non-essential option is pre-selected, and these technologies are not loaded until you consent. You can change your decision at any time and withdraw consent as easily as you gave it. When you withdraw consent, we clear the relevant first-party identifiers and communicate the denied state to the providers. You can open the preference centre using the button on this page or the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. You can also view, delete, or block cookies through your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, your session and the company formation journey may not work as expected.

Browser-specific instructions:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies

6. Third-Party Cookies

As part of the Website, we load the Crisp live support service and Vercel's cookieless Analytics and Speed Insights services. Stripe payment technologies are used only to process your payment securely. Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta Pixel load only if you give the relevant consent; without consent, no measurement data is sent to these providers. These providers process your data under their own privacy policies. Where data needs to be transferred outside the United Kingdom or Türkiye, we apply the appropriate transfer mechanisms and safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

7. “Do Not Track” Signals

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal that asks the websites you visit not to track your browsing activity. Because there is no single agreed industry standard for how this signal should be interpreted, our Website does not currently respond to DNT signals. In any case, analytics and advertising technologies are off by default, and you can control tracking through your cookie preferences as described above.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, applicable legislation, or our business practices. The current version is always published on this page, and the revision date above is updated accordingly. Where a change materially affects how we use cookies, we will update the policy version and ask you for your preferences again.
